Fingerstyle and solo guitar arrangements
Archive containt also a collection of fingerstyle arrangements. This is probably the first collection of fingerstyle and classical guitar arrangements of Queen songs. Something like this in printed sheet music format should have been released many years ago written by established classical guitarists and arrangers. Instead of this I can offer my homemade arrangements in ASCII tablature format:
- no standard notation,
- hardly any notes on fingering and barres,
- the rhythm notation is not detailed (sustain, tempo changes, etc.),
- no midi, no mp3 demo.
The two major types of arrangements:
- Only the accompaniment is arranged. These are possible to perform as duet with another guitar playing the lead tune, or also other parts of the music that were not included in the guitar arrangement. Something like this is done in the guitar duet arrangement of Who Needs You.
- The majority of the arrangements combines the lead tune and the accompaniment. Actually this is what fingerstyle guitar playing is really about.
The accompaniment of "Dear Friends" and "All Dead" incorporates the lead tune most of the time.
More songs (usually those with piano accompaniment) are transposed to more guitarfriendly keys.
