  • 1983:
    • Spring: The Fan Club magazine teases that Brian plans to do some work in LA with a friend but no more details are revealed at the moment.
    • April:
      • Thursday 21st: 'Star Fleet' (basic track at least) is recorded in Los Angeles.
      • Friday 22nd: 'Let Me Out' and 'Blues Breaker' are recorded in Los Angeles.
    • Summer: Brian takes the record to London, where Roger adds backing vocals and Reinhold Mack does the mixing.
    • August: Brian writes the liner notes. The record's taken to LA to be mastered.
    • October:
      • Monday 24th: 'Star Fleet' / 'Son of Starfleet' released as a single in the UK.
      • Monday 31st: EP released in the UK.
